I always see this place in passing but happy I was able to try it out. The star of the show is the Mango Slaw. It was very rich, seasoned and fresh. I truly enjoyed my experience. The Salmon and the garlic mash did not disappoint. Will definitely go back. It has a great happy hour, 5-7pm and 10pm till close. The vibe fits Flatbush.

All of the staff were super accommodating and very friendly. The ambiance is really nice. You can definitely celebrate a special occasion there. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! Especially the crab cake that came with Mango chow! The oxtail, rice and peas were seasoned to perfection and my favorite side was the potato salad! I need the recipe. The sweet chili shrimp was good as well! I will definitely be back to try more items off of the menu.

The food is extremely tasty and flavorful, unfortunately the drinks are a hit and miss depending on which bartender is making them. But overall a cool Vibe.

It was suggested by a family member to spend my birthday at Sugar'd because of their great food. I'm happy that I decided to come here because my family and I had a wonderful time at Sugar'd. I love the gigantic colorful planters outside of the restaurant. The decor outside and inside of the restaurant was very nice especially the back of the restaurant. We opted to dine outside because the weather was wonderful. Caribbean music was playing through the speaker which we enjoyed during our dining experience. Service was absolutely fantastic and professional the entire time. They made it even more special when they knew that I was celebrating my birthday. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and I loved my virgin piña colada. Let's get into the food details. Oh my goodness, we all enjoyed our food very much. Everything that came out looked spectacular and delicious. I loved how most of our main entrees came out together so we can eat together. That was cool. Most of our dinner party ordered the braised oxtail. It was delectable. I haven't had oxtails which tasted that good in years. It was so good that I was still looking for my meat in my stew after I finished the last oxtail lol. Both of my sons ordered shrimps and they both enjoyed their meals. The staff brought out my birthday cake with sparklers and sang to me for my birthday which was really amazing. My birthday was extra special because of the service and food provided by Sugar'd. Thank you Sugar'd for a wonderful birthday experience. I will definitely visit again.

The food is well seasoned and delicious. However, the crackhead really made the outside region a no for me. I believe in supporting back businesses that help the community. However, they might want to add a few trees to block those types of ppl. I would like to taste more of the wing flavors. The crab cake is amazing. The drinks are good too. Gratuity is included for a large parties. Please be sure to bring cash to bring down the price. The owner or the manager is a very nice man very understanding. He was very understanding to our crackhead situation. Overall, the decor is very nice. They did a very good job. I would just hire security in the future.

This spot was 100% on point for Caribbean cuisine. Started with the tenders and plantain. Moved on to the ox tail, peas and rice, macaroni and jerked chicken and pickled slaw. All amazing. Atmosphere was on fire with music and good people.

Do you guys know how hard it is to find a place with food that tastes almost close to some of the things your family made while you were growing up?? ‍ I've had my eye on this place for a while and so glad that I got to finally give it a try. I've seen a lot of reviews about the service but I didn't have any issues as the service and the timing of the food was great. As a lover of mango chow, I had to try the mango chow margarita. The flavors from the chandon-bene and mango honestly reminded me of the dish -- however this is too sweet of a drink. While I was anticipating for this to be the trini version of a spicy marg -- I was hoping for it to have a little more spice. If you like sweet drinks then you might love this. To start with we got the jerk wings and the mango bacchanal shrimp. I wasn't expecting the shrimp to be fried but the mango sauce that it came with added a nice level of sweetness. The jerk wings were by far some of the best i've ever tasted. Packed with SO much flavor and paired super well with this honey mustard like dipping sauce. For my entree I went with the jambalaya shrimp and got a side of macaroni pie and rice and peas. Their rice and peas is like a pelau (which immediately brought back memories of sunday dinner at my grandmas house). If you grew up in a Caribbean household, (specially a trini one) the flavors of some of the dishes here are bound to evoke nostalgia. Everything was 10/10 from the food to the decor to the space. I cant wait to return!
